Dear Friends,
The Education and Training Committee has had a meeting and discussed how to implement training in coloproctology in Europe. There are two important drafts which have been negotiated between the European Board of Surgical Qualification (Division of Coloproctology) and the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, two years ago. It was supported by the Education and Training Committee that those two drafts should be published on our website and stay for a recommended standard how coloproctology should be trained and how to end up with an accreditation in coloproctology in Europe according to the EBSQ requirements.
Please go to the Training Standards page to download these documents.
With best regards,
Lars Pahlman
Chairman of the Education and Training Committee

The Division of Coloproctology was founded in 1997 within the Section of Surgery of the European Union. This is itself a part of the Union Européenne des Médécins Spécialistes (UEMS) which is the official body in the European Union concerned with specialist medical practice.
The EBSQ Examination is the certifying examination leading to the Diploma of EBSQ (Coloproctology) of the European Board of Surgery. This is the only form of certification in the speciality in Europe. Please click on the link for more information on the examinations.
