[1] The resilience of healthcare systems has been tested, especially in the management of more vulnerable groups of patients, such as those undergoing surgery. In this interview, Gianluca Pellino, a colorectal surgeon from the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona (Spain) provides a brief summary of the efforts and findings on behalf of the CovidSurg collaborative. Gianluca is on the communications committee for the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and is acting in a similar capacity on the CovidSurg collaborative.
