ESCP announces: First multicity hybrid hands-on TAMIS course Friday 19 November 2021

ESCP is organising its first multicity hybrid hands-on TAMIS course at five different sites in Europe on Friday 19 November 2021.

TAMIS local excision for complex benign lesions and early rectal cancer has become an established treatment approach, and this workshop is an essential first step on the learning curve before clinical implementation.

For the first time, this course will be hybrid with a virtual program in the morning and hands-on practical program in the afternoon. We will run this course simultaneously at five sites across Europe:

  • Amersfoort, The Netherlands – Course Director: Dr R. Hompes (8 stations | 16 participants)
  • Barcelona, Spain - Course Director: Dr E. Espin Basany (4 stations | 8 participants)
  • London, UK - Course Director: Prof N. Francis (4 stations | 8 participants)
  • Milan, Italy - Course Director: Prof A. Spinelli (4 stations | 8 participants)
  • St. Gallen, Switzerland - Course Directors: Dr W. Brunner and Dr F. Aigner (5 stations | 10 participants)

Hands-on Workshop with animate tissue
#1: Set-up and partial thickness excision of pedunculated polyp and closure of defect


#2: Full thickness excision of sessile polyp & closure of defect – purse string suture


Debrief hands-on session and closing discussion
