The course is over two days - 22-23 March 2023 - and is a live virtual event streamed from a TV studio. The course is aimed at colorectal and general surgeons, trainees and allied health care professionals. The course is interactive and allows participants to answer poll questions and send in comments and questions. Lots of topics will be covered and the virtual and on demand nature of the course means that those joining can pick and choose which parts of the programme are relevant to them.

The course will be available to watch back on demand (apart from the viva sessions to be fair to the viva candidates) and an abstract book will be available with summaries of the presentations – this is always a useful resource.

The course is heavily subsidised to enable as many people as possible to attend, costing only £50 for nurses and allied health care professionals. The ACPGBI have also decided to offer the course free of charge to medical students and those from low-middle income countries in order to support global surgical education.
