Course Description
This course is designed for those who want to improve their ability to appraise research studies, gain an in-depth understanding of the peer review process, and be involved in peer review/editorial work. The course is beneficial for those preparing for the academic section of the EBSQ exams.
This three-hour session provides an opportunity for the participants to interact with current editors of Colorectal Disease, and by the end of the course, the participants will understand the workflow of the editorial process, develop critical evaluation skills and a framework to provide constructive feedback, be aware of important reporting guidelines, common statistics, the role of ethics and artificial intelligence in publishing. You will receive pre-course materials and discuss these during the course.
Trainees, colorectal surgery consultants, and other closely related specialities (gastroenterology, oncology, radiology), specialist nurses, and allied health professionals would find this course valuable for their career and personal development.
