ESCP 2026 Oral Presentation Guidelines

Applicable to Six of the Best, Six of the Best Surgical Video, Free paper, Elevator pitch, Research ideas elevator pitch and New Trials.

Please check the time and duration of your talk carefully. To keep the schedule running smoothly, please strictly adhere to your allotted time. Where sessions are being scored, running over time may result in marks being deducted. We encourage you to arrive in the room before the session begins. We appreciate your cooperation.

The order of presentations, along with the names of session chairs and other speakers, is available in the detailed interactive program.

Presentation Requirements

IMPORTANT: Embed any external content (e.g., videos, multimedia files) directly in the presentation.

Presentation Upload

Please note that due to the technical setup, personal laptops cannot be used for presenting in the lecture rooms. There will be 2 possibilities how to upload your presentation:

A) Online Meeting Platform (recommended)

You may upload your presentation at any time before the conference, but no later than 2 hours before your session begins. Please upload the final version, as you may upload only one file. Technicians will review it for technical compliance. If changes are needed after approval, you must re-upload your presentation at the Slide Preview Room on-site.

1. Visit the ONLINE MEETING PLATFORM to upload your presentation.
2. Log in using your e-mail address associated with your ESCP 2026 registration (top right corner - “User login"). You will receive your password by e-mail. Please save it for future use.​
   
3. Click on Presentation Upload and upload your final presentation.
   
4. If you want to view your presenter notes during your talk, please visit the IT staff in the Slide Preview Room on-site to enable this feature. Otherwise, the notes will not be visible during your presentation. Please note that if presenter notes are activated, you must manually activate the laser pointer from the lectern.

B) On-Site at the Venue

Alternatively, if you do not upload online, you must upload your presentation in the Slide Preview Room at the venue no later than 2 hours before your session starts. Please hand over your presentation to the IT personnel in the Slide Preview Room on a USB flash drive. You can verify that your presentation runs smoothly.

The Slide Preview Room is located on the 2^nd floor, room 2.1, at the Prague Congress Centre.

Voting / Survey 

If you want to add interactive elements to your presentation, such as voting or a poll during the presentation, follow these instructions:

Preparation

All questions and answers must be delivered by 15 September 2026. Each question can have up to 5 answers. Open-ended questions cannot be used. Secretariat will set up the voting in the hybrid meeting system.

How it Works

1. The chairperson or speaker can ask the technician to launch the voting.
2. The technician will load the voting and show the QR code on the screen.
3. Delegates will read the QR code using their phones; voting will open in the browser, and delegates will vote.
4. Once the delegates have had enough time to vote, you can ask the technician to close the voting and show the results on screen.
5. Once the results are presented, the technician will close the voting and jump back to the presentation.

Important Notes​

• Please note that the livestream is approximately 10 seconds delayed. Please give enough time to online attendees to participate in the voting. Online participants can vote in tab that will appear right next to the window with live stream.
• Results can be displayed as Horizontal bars, Vertical bars, Pie chart, Doughnout, Circular area (radar)
• Once the session starts, the voting cannot be changed

Recordings

Please note that all sessions will be recorded and streamed via the online meeting platform, accessible exclusively to registered delegates. Following the meeting, the recordings will be made available through the ESCP Member Portal.

​You will have the opportunity to grant or decline permission for the recording and publication of your presentation either through the Online Upload system or in the Slide Preview Room at the time of uploading your presentation.

ESCP Meeting Awards

​Abstracts submitted to the Six of the Best, Six of the Best Surgical Video, New Trials Forum, Elevator Pitch (excl. Research ideas elevator pitch) and E-Poster categories are each eligible for an award for the best abstract presented. Winners are selected based on the highest score.

​The Award Ceremony will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, 12:00-12:30 in the Congress Hall.
