ESCP focused on the topic of diverticulitis throughout October. Coordinated by colorectal surgeon Mark Katory (United Kingdom) and Young ESCP member Alice Frotali (France), various contributors shared their thoughts and expertise on the subject which included patient case studies, the results of a North East diverticulitis study and a status report from the Diverticulitis Guidelines Group from the 2018 ESCP conference in Nice.

Deadline approaching for Laparoscopic CME Programme submissions

The deadline date is approaching for the very first training initiative led by ESCP's European School of Coloproctology which will promote laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision (CME) for colon cancer. The deadline for applications is 31 October.

ESCP is looking forward to hosting its 6th Regional Masterclass in Rome next month. The masterclass, to be held on the 19 November at Tor Vergata University Hospital, has been organised by long-standing ESCP Education Committee member, David Zimmerman, and Filippo La Torre. It will focus on treating complex anal fistula and will feature renowned expert, Christoph Isbert.
