The EAGLE-2 collaborating group is delighted to announce the publication of the EAGLE-2 study, Impact of safe-anastomosis digital training on 30-day anastomotic leak after right colectomy: international prospective cohort study (EAGLE-2), in the British Journal of Surgery (BJS).
Building on the success of the original EAGLE study, EAGLE-2 investigates the impact of safe-anastomosis digital training on anastomotic leak following right colectomy. The study represents an important contribution to international collaborative research and the ongoing effort to improve surgical outcomes and patient safety.
With almost 3,000 patients recruited across an extensive international network, EAGLE-2 demonstrates the value of large-scale, collaborative research in addressing important challenges in colorectal surgery.
We would like to thank all the participating surgeons, centres, research teams and collaborators whose dedication and commitment made this study possible.
