Registration is now open for PILO-ACT (Pilonidal Abscess: Audit of Clinical Treatment), the latest ESCP federated study.
PILO-ACT is an international, prospective audit investigating the current management of acute pilonidal abscesses. Led from Randers, Denmark, and supported by ESCP, the study aims to evaluate variations in clinical practice and their impact on short-term patient outcomes, helping to generate high-quality evidence to inform future treatment strategies and clinical trials.
We invite colorectal units worldwide to join this important international collaboration. Participating centres will contribute anonymised data during a three-month audit period. The study is being launched at the ESCP congress in Prague, sites can open for data collection from 1st October 2026.
