The European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) Global Reach Committee exists to promote and coordinate the Society’s research and education activities beyond Europe.

Specifically, its aims include:

Most recently, the Global Reach Committee has supported the delivery of studies such as EAGLE2 (manuscript to be submitted for publication in November 2025), East of Damascus, and LATAM-URG, a prospective assessment of outcomes of urgent abdominal procedures in Latin America.

The Global Reach Committee hosts four webinars per year to disseminate study findings and promote opportunity for collaborators worldwide to participate in new and ongoing studies. ESCP Global Reach webinars can be viewed here.
