The conference theme, "think outside the box", reflects European Hernia Society's (EHS) commitment to providing a unique and innovative event that encourages new perspectives and cultivates collaboration.

Hernias are a common pathology, often starting during a laparotomy for various reasons. Many surgeons find themselves performing hernia repairs at least from time to time, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the hernia world is always useful.

This year, the European Hernia Society's annual event has a lineup of captivating topics, appealing to a wide audience beyond just hernia enthusiasts. The agenda includes numerous sessions dedicated to disaster prevention, pre-optimisation, laparotomy closure, open abdomen, plastic surgery, and parastomal hernias, among others. Additionally, EHS' outstanding patient wing has curated some enlightening lectures. The industry hall will showcase the latest gadgets for those interested in trying them out.
