The goal of the Training Village is to provide a short and structured training experience for colorectal trainees during the conference.

This opportunity is reserved for registered ESCP Conference attendees, and primarily intended for trainees and early career practitioners.

Title Station	Start building your basic skills for da Vinci surgical systems
Learning Objectives	Mastering the critical skills to experience da Vinci surgical system’s vision, precision and control. 1. Manage camera control 2. Learn to leverage third arm 3. Optimisation of wrist articulation
Duration	60 minutes
How Will Learning Objective Be Evaluated?	Average score of SimNow modules >80% (reach minimum of 80% AVRG over all simulator modules and compete with your training group peers).

Title Station	Laparoscopic RIGHT colectomy with intracorporeal anastomosis. Train with your friend.
Learning Objectives	Together with a friend you will be able to perform a laparoscopic right colectomy with intracorporeal anastomosis on advanced synthetic models that mimic human tissue properties with high fidelity. 1. Practice the safe use of energy devices to separate mesentery form the bowel 2. Practice the safe use of staplers (proper cartridge selection, proper stapler positioning, stapler troubleshooting) to perform proximal and distal transections 3. Practice laparoscopic intracorporeal anastomosis (side to side stapled anastomosis with closing of defect using stratafix)
Duration	120 minutes (60 minutes each operating)
How Will Learning Objective Be Evaluated?	There will be a QR code that participant will scan to answer a short survey about the knowledge and confidence they have acquired as a result of this training session.
Comments	It’s a must that trainees register in pairs.

Title Station	Laparoscopic LEFT Colectomy (left sided stapled colorectal anastomosis). Train with a friend.
Learning Objectives	Together with a friend you will be able to perform a laparoscopic left colectomy with anastomosis on advanced synthetic models that mimic human tissue properties with high fidelity. 1. Practice the safe use of energy devices to separate the mesentery from the bowel 2. Practice the safe use of staplers to perform distal and proximal transections 3. Practice the safe use of Echelon circular stapler to perform stapled transanal anastomosis (stapler handling, positioning, anvil attachment, removal of the stapler etc.)
Duration	120 minutes (60 minutes each operating)
How Will Learning Objective Be Evaluated?	There will be a QR code that participant will scan to answer a short survey about the knowledge and confidence they have acquired as a result of this training session.
Comments	It’s a must that trainees register in pairs.
