1. Practice the safe use of energy devices in laparoscopically mobilising the large bowel and separating the mesentery
2. Practice the safe use of staplers in performing proximal and distal transections
3. Practice stapled anastomosis techniques

1. Practice access technique under visualisation of abdominal wall layers through optical trocars

1. Practice different laparoscopic hand-eye coordination exercises
2. Practice basic laparoscopic knot tying and laparoscopic suturing

1. Practice open basic suturing skills starting from knot tying to different suturing techniques
2. Learn the burden of surgical site infection and the international guidelines to reduce it
3. Understand the science of wound healing
