Course description
The Y-ESCP Course on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis for Guideline Development is a practical guide for early-career surgeons and researchers on how to conduct high-quality systematic reviews and assess evidence supporting clinical practice guidelines. Led by an expert faculty, the course walks participants through the key steps of protocol development, literature search, study selection, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment. It also introduces methods for appraising the certainty of evidence and translating findings into evidence-based recommendations using the evidence-to-decision framework.
