The European School of Coloproctology (ESC) of ESCP is the most recent development of the Education Committee, offering a year-round platform for educational opportunities.

It focuses on teaching in coloproctology for doctors at different stages of their professional career and aims to promote current knowledge and practice. Different formats of the training activities will be employed. ESC/ESCP is responsible for designing the objectives and educational contents of the events. The activities are supported by educational grants from the industries.

Klaus MatzelThe first training curriculum of the ESC/ESCP has been launched. The Laparoscopic CME Programme consists of a 2-day course (17-18 December 2018) at the Johnson & Johnson Institute, Hummelsbütteler Steindamm 71, 22851 Norderstedt, Germany with hands-on training, and proctoring sessions in the participants’ home institutions.

On 15-16 November 2018, a stand-alone workshop on pouch surgery, IPAA and continent ileostomy (Kock pouch and modifications), will take place in Hamburg at the Johnson & Johnson Institute, Hummelsbütteler Steindamm 71, 22851 Norderstedt, Germany.

IPAA and continent ileostomy (Kock pouch and modifications)

The Pouch workshop is a training initiative by ESCP's European School of Coloproctology to promote theoretical background knowledge and practical experience on the ileoanal pouch procedure and 2 different variants of a continent ileostomy.

This highly interactive expert 2-day workshop is designed to teach and discuss both the ileoanal pouch (IPAA) and continent ileostomy. It will take place in 15-16 November 2018 Hamburg at the Johnson & Johnson Institute, Hummelsbütteler Steindamm 71, 22851 Norderstedt, Germany.
