Faecal Incontinence and shared decision-making webinar
Date: 27 November 2025
Country: Online
Faecal incontinence (FI) is a challenging condition with a significant impact on patients’ quality of life. Despite advances in treatment, management remains complex and often requires a highly individualised approach. Involving patients in their own care decisions is therefore essential to achieve optimal outcomes.
Shared decision making (SDM) provides a structured approach to integrating the best available clinical evidence with a patient's preferences and values. This webinar will bring together expert colorectal surgeons and patient advocates to discuss current management strategies, decision support tools, and the patient perspective.
The aims of this free webinar are to:
- Increase awareness of the importance of shared decision-making in the management of faecal incontinence
- Present current clinical approaches and treatment pathways for FI
- Highlight the role of patient decision aids in empowering patients and supporting clinical practice
- Provide the patient advocacy perspective on engagement and the need for accessible tools
- Encourage open dialogue between healthcare providers and patients
