The variety.

What is the best part of the job?

Putting an intestinal failure case back together again.

How long have you been involved in ESCP and what made you want to become involved?

I joined in 2012 as I was so impressed with the annual conference and the research committee. I haven't missed an annual conference since.

What do you value most about being involved in ESCP?

Networking and the quality of the annual meeting.

Tell us your best ESCP conference anecdote?

I might tell you but I'm not writing it down!

What would your one bit of advice for younger surgeons starting their career in colorectal surgery be?

Don't be afraid to do an extra fellowship, build up slowly, your colleagues are the most important part of the job.
