ESCP Annual Meeting 2026 – Prague
Up to 20 complimentary registrations for the ESCP Annual Meeting 2026 (Prague) will be awarded through a competitive application process.
This initiative is intended to support senior undergraduate medical students and early surgical trainees who demonstrate a clear interest in colorectal surgery and engagement within the field.
Eligibility
Applications are invited from:
- Final or penultimate year undergraduate medical students; OR
- Interns / Foundation Year 1 doctors in General Surgery.
Applicants must:
- Hold eligible status at the time of the conference;
- Demonstrate a clear surgical orientation;
- Show evidence of interest in colorectal surgery (e.g. research, audits, publications, poster or oral presentations at surgical or colorectal meetings).
Required documents
Applicants must submit the following:
1. Curriculum Vitae
Maximum 1 page, in English
The CV must demonstrate:
- Surgical orientation
- Relevant colorectal research, publications, audits or presentations (where applicable)
2. Letter of Intent
A brief statement outlining why the applicant wishes to attend the ESCP Annual Meeting 2026 and how attendance will support their surgical career development.
3. Letter of Support
Signed by the Head of Faculty or a recognised Consultant Surgeon.
- The applicant’s current student or trainee status;
- Expected date of graduation or completion of internship;
- Why attendance at the ESCP Annual Meeting would benefit the applicant’s professional development.
Applications signed solely by research fellows will not be accepted.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by the ESCP-appointed panel. Selection will be based on merit, demonstrated engagement with colorectal surgery, and anticipated educational benefit of attendance. The decision of the panel is final.
