An ESCP Masterclass is a stand-alone one-day event which takes place in conjunction with a national colorectal or surgical meeting. It is intended to promote colorectal surgery in a country and to present ESCP activities.

The masterclass takes place either before, in the middle or at the end of the meeting. It should not be during other sessions.

The local organiser (national society/working group) chooses the main topic for the masterclass.

Getting started

  • The application form is sent to the ESCP office
  • The application is discussed at ESCP's next meeting of the Regional Event Working Group
  • Depending on the chosen topic, ESCP designates an ESCP organiser
  • Both organisers (local and ESCP) then draft a programme (50% local speakers and 50% ESCP speakers, respect diversity)

How ESCP helps

As well as helping to draft the programme, ESCP will promote the event in its e-newsletter, website and social media channels, and can help finding sponsors.

Timeline

There is a strict timeline to respect:

  • Sponsorship must be secured six months prior to the event taking place
  • Draft programme must be submitted to ESCP six months prior to the event taking place
  • Final programme to be submitted to ESCP five months prior to the event
  • Financials and reporting must be submitted to ESCP four months after the event

If you would like to host a masterclass in your country, please fill out the application form here
