The Cryptoglandular Anal Fistula Core Outcome Measurement Set (AFCOMS) has been published in eClinicalMedicine!
Building on the previously established Anal Fistula Core Outcome Set (AFCOS), this international consensus study involving members of ESCP defines standardised definitions and measurement instruments for outcomes in cryptoglandular anal fistula research. Adoption of AFCOMS is expected to reduce heterogeneity in reporting, improve comparability between studies, and ultimately support better treatment decisions and stronger guideline development in anal fistula treatment.
